The MC who keeps the room with you.
A high-energy, crowd-pleasing host who can also manage the tech. Gant has emceed conferences for thousands of people, on stage and online, and handled everything from missing speakers to technical difficulties without the audience ever noticing.
Conferences Gant has emceed
From single-track community events to international main stages and the first-ever React Summit Remote.
Calm when things go sideways
As a Distinguished Toastmaster, Gant has trained as an MC for years. He leads technical panels, conferences and speakers’ dinners.
Speakers first
Introductions that set each speaker up to win, and transitions that keep the energy moving between talks.
Handles the unexpected
Missing speakers, schedule changes and technical difficulties, covered smoothly so the audience never loses the thread.
Speaks developer
A technologist who knows the material, so panels, Q&A and hallway banter land with technical crowds.
“Being an MC is about the speakers and the audience, not about me. It’s my job to make sure that connection is clear and friendly. An MC wakes up early and goes to bed late with little to no recognition, and because of that, I’m pretty picky about which events I MC.”

Online events, hosted live
A virtual MC needs technical skills and hardware to match the in-person banter. Gant hosted 15,000 attendees at React Summit Remote and works in video calls every day, so he knows the shortcuts and settings needed to manage a large crowd.
- Professional sound and lighting setup
- Powerful graphics card and streaming software
- High-quality output, even through conference compression
- Fluent in Zoom settings and shortcuts for large audiences
